Post E3 blues….Nintendo

Well I’ve been gone a while but I’m back. I’m old and forgot I had the page…So we are now suffering from post e3 blues and I keep hearing that Nintendo had a disappointing show. In my opinion everyone would have been very happy if a few things hadn’t been leaked by data hackers mining the eshop for whatever they could find.I for one am really happy that games like Paladins and Fortnite have been released they are bound to appeal to a broad audience and if I’m honest…I’m going to whisper this….I love Fortnite! I know hate me, slate me but there is just something addictive about it and it’s FREE!! Obviously you can buy V-Bucks if you want, which I’m sure many people will or have already done, but the “just one more game” attitude I keep having is addictive.I know Nintendo spent a long time in the Direct showcasing the Smash Bros Ultimate but was that really that bad? I don’t think so, I mean every fighter to ever grace the series is back and it’s going to sell consoles too. Both Pokemon and Smash Bros will give Ninty a bumper Xmas period sales wise and fair play to them. I didn’t think Sony had a great e3 but then they announced what they were going to do and that the PS4 is entering its last part of its life span. Microsoft had an interesting conference for the first time in a few years and they are slowly building bridges with Nintendo and cross-play.Fifa 19 on Switch looks better this year and obviously sold well enough to justify more work being put into this years entry. With more games still to be announced in the inevitable Nintendo Directs still to come this year I think it’s going to be a great second half of 2018 and 2019 should be awesome!I think I read that by the end of the year Switch should have around 1000 games and it took the Wii U five years to amass around 750!Well folks, hope you’ve enjoyed the read and I will try to regularly keep this updated!
